OnePlus Nord 2 has been unveiled today, July 22 2021. It has been on the rumour mill for so long but finally, it is now official. For those unaware, the Nord 2 is succeeding the original Nord of last year.
It comes with a lot of upgrades and improvements over the OnePlus Nord, its predecessor. It comes with a bigger battery, a faster processor, a big primary camera, and a faster charging capability.
Although, it doesn’t have a quad rear camera and a dual front camera like its predecessor but it’s nothing as it comes with a better camera resolution. Let’s dive into the details.
OnePlus Nord 2 Specs and features
The OnePlus Nord 2 specs include a 6.43-inches Fluid AMOLED display, 90Hz refresh rate and 1080 x 2400 pixels screen resolution. It also has a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front.
Under the hood, it is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 5G chipset. The chipset has an Octa-core processor clocked at 3.0GHz. This makes it the first-ever smartphone from OnePlus to come with a MediaTek chipset.
The Dimensity 1200 chipset is very powerful, very close to flagship performance. Further, the smartphone comes with a 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM, 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM, and 12GB RAM + 256GB ROM.
It should be noted that the smartphone doesn’t come with a memory card slot. The rear of the phone houses a triple camera set-up.
The main sensor is 50-megapixel, there is 8-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. On the front, it has a 32-megapixel selfie camera. Nord 2 comes with dual stereo speakers and an under-display fingerprint scanner.
A 4500mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging is what is fuelling the device. Other features include Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 802.11, GPS, and NFC. There is no 3.5mm head jack.
OnePlus Nord 2 Price in India and Availability
The Nord 2 is priced at Rs 27,999 in India ($375) for the 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM version. The 8GB RAM and 12GB RAM versions are priced at Rs 29,999 ($402) and Rs 34,999 ($469) respectively.
Colour options for the device include Blue Haze and Gray Sierra. Indians get additional Green wood colour. OnePlus Nord 2 will be available for purchase starting July 28.
