Samsung Galaxy A12s has been spotted on Google Play Console and Google’s support device list. The smartphone was earlier seen on the Bluetooth SIG certification platform, official Samsung’s page, and TKDN website with model number SM-A127F/DS.
As you can tell from its moniker, the smartphone will be an updated version of the Galaxy A12 unveiled earlier this year. Speaking about being updated, not much will be updated as rumours are rife that the only new thing coming with the A12s is the chipset.
Google Play Console has confirmed that the smartphone will be coming with an Exynos 850 chipset. The rest of the specifications will likely be the same as the older Galaxy A12. Older Galaxy A12 comes powered by the MediaTek Helio P35 which is inferior to the Exynos 850.
The Exynos 850 comes with an octa-core Cortex-A55 CPU clocked at 2GHz, the ARM Mali-G52 MP1 GPU, LPDDR4X RAM, and an integrated 4G LTE modem with download speeds of up to 300Mbps. It will offer a bump in performance in both CPU and GPU-intensive tasks.
Furthermore, the Google Play Console shows that it will come with an HD screen resolution (probably 720×1600 pixels), 3GB RAM and runs on the Android 11 operating system. It also shows that it will have a fingerprint sensor. That’s the information Google Play Console revealed regarding the Samsung Galaxy A12s.
We expect that the smartphone will come with a Super AMOLED display, improved design, quad-camera at the rear (the main sensor will likely be a 48-megapixel shooter), 8-megapixel selfie camera, and a 5000mAh battery capacity with 15W charging support.
