A tipster on Twitter has revealed the specifications and renders of the Samsung Galaxy A Quantum 2. He also shared the retail box of the Quantum 2. Samsung Galaxy Quantum is always exclusive to Koreans and mostly a rebadged version of the A70 series. Let’s take a look at the specs shared.
Samsung Galaxy A Quantum 2 leaked specs
The Samsung Galaxy A Quantum 2 will come with a centre punch-hole cut-out which is always a home for the selfie camera. The display of the smartphone measures 6.7inches in diagonal with a 1080 x 2400 AMOLED Full HD+ display. It will also come with a 120Hz refresh rate and 800 nits of brightness. The leaked panel of the display is curved. This means that it will come with a curved display.
Under the hood, it will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chipset. This is a flagship chipset for 2019. It is the same chipset that is powering the OnePlus 7T Pro and the Galaxy Z Flip. As for storage, it will come in 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM or 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM. There is a micro SD card slot.
At the rear, the smartphone has a vertical camera module consisting of three sensors. We only know that the main camera will be a 64MP sensor with optical image stabilisation. Other sensors are unknown for now. Samsung Galaxy A Quantum 2 will also come with a 4500mAh battery that will support 25W fast charging. But it is a 15W charger that will be included in the box.
The device will also come with an IP67 rating and Dolby Atmos sound. It weighs 203 grams and will likely have the same dimensions as the S21 Plus.
The phone also has Samsung Pay support. For security, it will have an under-display fingerprint sensor. Pre-order will start on April 13 in Korea and the launch date is April 23rd. If you pre-order, you get a Bronze bud live and a clear case as a gift.
Samsung released its first Quantum series phone in South Korea with the Quantum A – a re-branded Galaxy A71 5G with quantum encryption. It seems we’re in for a similar rebranding this time around for the Quantum 2, likely based on the Galaxy A72 5G albeit with some alterations.
