Samsung Galaxy S22 series is expected to debut in January next year if the Galaxy S21 series launch timeline is to be followed. Ahead of the launch, several leaks and rumours of the S22 series are all over the web. The latest leak is its battery capacity.
The 3C certification platform has certified Samsung batteries with EB-BS906ABY and EB-BS908ABY model numbers. The EB-BS906ABY battery has 4370mAh with a maximum voltage of 4.45V.
The EB-BS908ABY battery on the other hand has 4855mAh with a rated voltage of 3.88V and a maximum voltage of 4.45V. It is said that the 4370mAh battery capacity belongs to the S22+ 5G while the 4855mAh battery belongs to the S22 Ultra 5G.
The battery capacity of the standard S22 wasn’t revealed.
In August, some of the specifications of the S22 series leaked. Samsung is expected to bring a 6.01-inch Galaxy S22 alongside a 6.55-inch Galaxy S22+ and a 6.81-inch Galaxy S22 Ultra model. All Galaxy S22 series phones are said to sport 120Hz refresh rates.
The ultra model will be the only one with QHD+ resolution and an LTPO (low-temperature polycrystalline oxide) panel allowing for dynamic refresh rate alteration and in turn, improved battery life management.
To the camera department, Galaxy S22 and S22+ are expected to share an all-new 50MP 1/1.55-inch main sensors alongside a 12MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and 12MP ultrawide cam. The S22 Ultra on the other hand is said to pack a 108MP main cam alongside three 12MP auxiliary sensors – a short telephoto with 3x optical zoom, a periscope with 10x optical zoom and an ultrawide snapper.
Last but not least leakster @FrontTron shared info that Samsung will stick with Snapdragon 898 chipsets for most of its Galaxy S22 devices due to production issues and low yields of its in-house Exynos 2200 SoC.
