Realme announced the Realme 8 series in March this year. Five months after the launch, we have started getting information on its successor – Realme 9. According to 91mobiles, the Realme 9 smartphone will be unveiled in October this year.

The publication revealed that its source, Yogesh Brar, has said that Realme 9 will be introduced in India on October, before Diwali. He also revealed that Realme has a launch event scheduled for September where they will unveil the Realme 8i and the Realme 8s 5G.

This is quite believable as Realme has started teasing a phone with MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset via its social media pages. Recall that Realme 8s 5G is said to be powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset.

It will come with a 6.5-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone will run on Android 11 OS paired with Realme UI 2.0 user interface. It will come in two storage configurations. There will be 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM and 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM.

It will also have a 5GB virtual RAM support. On the rear, there will be a 64-megapixel triple rear camera. The selfie camera will be a 16-megapixels. Battery capacity will be 5000mAh with 33W fast charging support.

Other features of the phone includes 5G connectivity, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C.

Realme 8i on the other hand will come with a 6.59-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole cut-out for the selfie camera. It will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G96, paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB ROM.

At the rear, it will come with a triple camera setup that include a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel portrait camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. There will be a 16-megapixel selfie shooter onboard.

It will come with a 5000mAh battery capacity with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The phone has 8.6mm thickness and weighs 194 grams.
