It seems like the Samsung Galaxy A82 5G will be launching very soon. The smartphone has been spotted on the update tracking page of the official Samsung’s website. In the past, we have seen the hands-on image of the Galaxy A82. The hands-on image shows its resemblance with the Quantum 2 launched in South Korea last two months.
Before the hands-on image leaked, netizens had speculated that the device will go global with the A82 moniker. We don’t know how sure that is and Samsung is yet to make any comment regarding the device. Now that the device is seen on Samsung’s update tracking page, it shows the device imminent debut.

The update tracking page of Samsung’s website revealed the Galaxy A82. For those unaware, the update tracking page is where Samsung displays the next in line of their smartphone to get a new software update. It is quite surprising seeing the A82 listed there even though it has not launched yet.
With that, we can say that Samsung will unveil the phone soon. If the rumours floating around that it is a rebadged Quantum 2 is true, then we can expect it to come with the same specs as the Quantum 2.
Expected Galaxy A82 specifications
The phone might come with a 6.7inches Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels. Under the hood, it is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset which has an Octa-core processor clocked at 2.96GHz, paired with an Adreno 640 GPU.
It is will be running on Android 11 with One UI 3.1, assisted by 128GB 6GB RAM and 128GB 8GB RAM. The rear could house a triple camera sensor. The main camera might be 64MP, there will be a 12MP ultra-wide and a 5MP macro sensor. On the front, it will have a 10MP selfie camera.
A fingerprint scanner will be located under the display and what is expected to be keeping the light on is a 4500mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging.
