Xiaomi recently launched the Mi Mix 4 and the Mi Pad 5 series in China. The Mi Mix 4 is their latest flagship phone while the Mi Pad 5 is their latest tablet after 3 years absent in the tablet industry.

These devices are currently only available in China. Xiaomi’s Global Product PR, Agatha Tang, had revealed that the company has no plans to release the Mi MIX 4 in the global markets.

However, the Mi Mix 4 and the Mi Pad 5 series have appeared on Google Play Console and the Google support device list. This means that the device may debut globally after all.

China had banned Google services in the country and so there is no need for Xiaomi to be listing the device on Google’s platform. They only do that when they want to release the smartphone outside of China.

So we might expect to see the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 and the Mi Pad 5 series launch outside of China soon.

Specifications and features of the Mi Mix 4 and the Mi Pad 5 series.

The Mi Mix 4 comes with a 6.67-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display. There is a 20-megapixel under-display camera, and a 108-megapixel + 13-megapixel (ultrawide free-form lens) + 8-megapixel (periscope telephoto) triple camera unit.

Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 888 Plus with up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. It has a 4,500mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

The Snapdragon 860 powered Mi Pad 5 supports only Wi-Fi connectivity, whereas the Mi Pad 5 Pro with Snapdragon 870 comes in Wi-Fi and 5G versions. Both tablets have an 11-inch 2K display with TrueTone technology.

These tablets offer Dolby Atmos-powered quad speakers. The Mi Pad 5 has a 13-megapixel rear camera, the Wi-Fi-only version of the Mi Pad 5 Pro has a 13-megapixel + 5-megapixel (ultrawide) dual-camera system, and the Mi Pad 5 Pro 5G has a 50-megapixel + 5-megapixel (ultrawide) dual-camera setup.

The Mi Pad 5 series supports a magnetic keyboard cover and stylus. The Mi Pad 5 has an 8,720mAh battery with 33W fast charging, whereas the Mi Pad 5 Pro models have an 8,600mAh battery with 67W rapid charging.
