Vivo unveiled its latest gaming offering dubbed iQOO Z3 today in China. It is an affordable gaming smartphone that comes with some interesting features. One of the most interesting features is that the phone comes with a heat pipe that leads to a graphite heat sink which helps transfer heat into the air.
This is a feature that is always beneficial to gamers as Vivo claimed that it can reduce the device temperature to 10°C. Thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G chipset which made all this possible. The smartphone also comes with an aptX HD and LDAC support for high fertility audio.
iQOO Z3 Price
The Vivo iQOO Z3 is priced at CNY 1,700 ($260/€220) for the base 6/128 GB model. The 8/128 GB and 8/256 GB options are CNY 1,800 and CNY 2,000, respectively. It can be found on Vivo’s official web store and other online retailers like JD.com. The first sales will start Thursday next week. It is available in Black, Blue, and Silver colors.
iQOO Z3 features & key specs
The Vivo iQOO Z3 comes with a vertical camera module at the rear which houses three camera sensors. On the front, it has a water-drop notch cut-out housing the selfie camera. The display of the smartphone is a 6.58inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2408 pixels.
Under the hood, it is fuelled by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G SoC. The chipset uses an Octa-core processor clocked at 2.8GHz and it is a 7nm chipset. Graphics or gaming is handled by the Adreno 620 GPU.
The iQOO Z3 is running on the Android 11 operating system with OriginOS on top. It comes in three storage options which are 128GB 6GB RAM, 128GB 8GB RAM, and 256GB 8GB RAM. There is a micro SD card slot for storage expansion. Going to the rear, the smartphone is boasting of a triple camera. The main sensor is 64MP, there is an 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP depth sensor.
iQOO Z3 also has a single led flash at the rear and it can record in 4k@30fps maximum. Upfront, the device has one camera. The sensor is 16MP which has an f/2.0 aperture. The front camera makes use of the screen flash in low light.
What is keeping the light on is a 4,400mAh battery that supports 55W fast charging. There is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security. Other features of the device include a 5G network, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and USB Type-C. Sensors include an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass. Finally, it measures 164 x 75.3 x 8.5 mm and weighs 185 grams.
