Tecno mobile is gearing up to launch another battery beast smartphone. The device is dubbed the Tecno Pova 2. Tecno last year dropped their Pouvoir moniker to start using Pova. For those unaware, it is a French word that means power. The Pouvoir lineup has always been known for its huge battery capacity. The company introduced the Pova last year which comes with a very satisfying spec and of course, with a big battery.
The transsion managing company is planning to bring the Pova 2 as the successor. Tecno Pova 2 has just been listed on Google Play Console which revealed some of its specifications and front design. It will come with a MediaTek chipset, 4GB RAM, huge battery capacity and more.

Looking at the image shared by Google Play Console, we can see that the smartphone will sport a centred punch hole cut-out for the selfie camera. It will have a front led flash at the upper right of the display. The front speaker is placed at the top as well.
The listing revealed that the smartphone will be powered by a MediaTek Helio G70 chipset, this is a let down considering that the predecessor has a MediaTek Helio G80 chipset. Maybe Tecno is going to unveil the Pova 2 Pro this time around.
The phone will have 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM, an Android 11 operating system and a screen resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels. This is an upgrade, the older Pova has a 720 x 1640 screen resolution. An earlier report shows that it will have a 7000mAh battery capacity with 18W fast charging. It will also have a 6.8inches IPS LCD display.
We don’t have any information regarding the cameras yet. We need to wait to see the full confirmed specifications. There might be a possible Pova 2 Pro as well, let’s wait and see.
