In August of 2019, Xiaomi unveiled the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphones. The Note 8 became the most selling midrange smartphones that year till the Note 9 came into power. Xiaomi Redmi Note series are known to carry good specs at affordable prices. That’s why a lot of companies are competing relentlessly with them.

Well, since the Redmi Note 8 is the most widely sold Redmi smartphone ever, the company seemed to update it to keep the sales flowing. There is a new Redmi Note 8 smartphone that was spotted on EEC and FCC platforms. Speculations are saying that this could be the Redmi Note 8 2021. It has an M1908C3JGG model number and after all checks and research, it appears that this is indeed Redmi Note 8 2021.

The FCC listing shows that it will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC and runs on the Android 11 operating system based on MIUI 12.5 skin. It is also said that the smartphone will have a 4000mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging. In comparison with the standard Redmi Note 8, it has a 4000mAh battery and 18W fast charging.

The phone won’t launch in India, Indonesia, and Turkey as per tipster Xiaomui. Its codename is slated to be Biloba and will likely launch in global, EEA, and Russian markets. Previous reports also said that the phone will come with a 120Hz refresh rate display. Keep in mind that this phone is yet to be officially confirmed by Xiaomi. When they do, we will update you here. Nokia C20 Plus spotted on GeekBench with an Octa-core Unisoc chipset and 3GB RAM

On May 19 this month, two new upcoming Nokia smartphones dubbed Nokia C20 Plus and the C30 appeared online. The leak mentioned that one of the major selling points of the smartphones will be the battery capacity. We also saw the rear renders of the said smartphones. It shows that they will come with a circular camera module and dual rear camera sensors. Now the Nokia C20 Plus has appeared on GeekBench. 

An upcoming Nokia smartphone dubbed the Nokia C20 Plus has been spotted on the GeekBench database website. The listing revealed the hardware aspects of the device. In the single-core test, it scored 126 and in the multi-core test, it scored 476. The smartphone is running on the Android 11 operating system and powered by a Unisoc chipset.

The motherboard is codenamed Sirius and it uses an Octa-core processor with a base frequency of 1.20GHz. It also has 3GB RAM. That’s all the information Geekbench revealed about the upcoming Nokia C20 Plus. Recall that Nokia earlier this year unveiled the Nokia C20 smartphone. The smartphone comes with a 6.52 inches IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. 

Under the hood, it is powered by the Unisoc SC9863A chipset which uses an Octa-core (4×1.6 GHz Cortex-A55 & 4×1.2 GHz Cortex-A55) processor. It comes in 16GB 1GB RAM and 32GB 2GB RAM. At the rear, it has a 5-mega pixel camera and on the front, it has a 5-mega pixel camera. The battery capacity on the standard C20 is 3000mAh without fast charging.

A previous report about the Nokia C20 Plus shows that it will come with a 5000mAh battery but there is no information yet on whether the battery will support fast charging or not. Nokia is also keeping the 3.5mm head jack on the C20 Plus, you can see it at the top of the smartphone. There is also rear-facing speakers and the power and volume buttons at the right. The phone won’t also come with a fingerprint sensor. This all the information is known about the Nokia C20 Plus so far.

Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G unveiled in China with a MediaTek Dimensity 1100 SoC

Weeks ago, it is revealed that Redmi is planning to unveil the Note 10 Pro 5G smartphone in China, now it is here. Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G has officially announced in China. This device is different from the global 4G Redmi Note 10 Pro of course. It comes with a different design, different chipset, different screen size, and different charging speed. Let’s take a closer look at the device.

Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G unveiled in China

Xiaomi has taken the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G to China. We don’t know if this device will be unveiled globally with a different moniker yet. It comes with a 6.67inches Full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. This time, instead of using an AMOLED display like the 4G counterpart, this 5G version uses an IPS LCD display.

The display features a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and centred punch-hole cut-out. It also comes with a DCI-P3 colour gamut and has a typical brightness level of only 450 nits. There is a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus for protection.

Under the hood, it is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1100 chipset. It is running on the Android 11 operating system based on MIUI 12.5 skin. The chipset is assisted by the 8GB RAM and 256GB ROM. For heavy users or gamers, this device won’t heat up quickly when multitasking as it features a quadruple cooling system’ consisting of VC (Vapor Chamber), graphite, thermally conductive gel, and copper foil to offer a heat dissipation area of 16370mm².

At the rear of the Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G, it comes with a 64-mega pixel main camera, 8-mega pixels Ultra-wide, and a 2-mega pixels macro sensor. On the front, it has a 16-mega pixels selfie camera. What is keeping the light on is a 5000mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging.

The phone measures 163.3 x 75.9 x 8.9mm and weighs 193 grams. Other features include 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC 3.0, GNSS, USB Type-C, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, 360° ambient light sensor, gyroscope, ultrasonic proximity sensor, compass, and infrared sensor. Redmi Note 10 Pro 5G doesn’t come with a headphone jack and microSD card slot.

Vivo Y73 2021 listed on Google Play Console with key specs

Vivo Y73 2021 smartphone has shown up on the Google Play Console database. The Google Play Console revealed its key specifications and front design. Recall that Vivo had announced a Y73s smartphone back in October last year 2020. The smartphone came with a 6.44inches Full HD+ display, MediaTek Dimensity 720 5G, triple rear cameras, and a non-removable 4100mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.

Now Vivo is gearing up to launch a new Y73 2021 device. The Google Play Console listing of the Vivo Y73 2021 shows its model number, chipset, RAM, display resolution, and more. The phone has a V2059 model number. It will come with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. It will also have a 440 pixel per inch density.

Under the hood, it is revealed that the phone will come with a MediaTek MT6785 chipset. MediaTek MT6785 is MediaTek Helio G90 in other words. It will run on the Android 11 operating system and sport 8GB RAM.

If we take a look at the front render shown by Play Console. We can see that the phone will be coming with a water-drop notch cut-out overhead and that is a home for the selfie camera. We can also see that it has a sizeable chin and bezels. The rear of the phone is not shown. We would have seen how many cameras that it will arrive with, plus design.

The Vivo Y73s that was launched in China in October 2020 comes with a 6.44-inches Full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. That smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 720 5G chipset. It comes in 128GB ROM + 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM + 8GB RAM.

At the rear, it has a 48-mega pixels main camera, 8-mega pixel Ultra-wide, and a 2-mega pixel depth sensor. On the front, it has a 16-mega pixel selfie shooter. The phone also has an under-display fingerprint scanner. The battery capacity of the device is 4100mAh and it supports 18W fast charging. The Google Play Console listing of the Vivo Y73 2021 shows that it will be launching very soon globally. Let’s wait for future reports.
