After all the rumours and leaks, Oppo has silently launched the Oppo Reno6 Z in Thailand. The smartphone comes with a design similar to its siblings (the Reno 6 series) with that glossy and gradient back. It offers an AMOLED display, Dimensity 800U chipset, 64MP main camera, and a 4310mAh battery capacity.

Oppo Thailand failed to reveal the price of the smartphone but its Vietnam’s page shows that it is priced at VND 9,490,000 ($412) and comes in two colours which are Aurora and Stellar Black.

Oppo Reno6 Z Specifications and features

The Reno6 Z comes with a triple rear camera in a vertical module. On the front, it has a punch-hole cut-out at the upper left corner of the display. The display is a 6.4-inch AMOLED that has a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels.

It comes with a standard 60Hz refresh rate, a pixel density of 409 PPI, and a 90.8% screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, it is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC, paired with an 8GB RAM and a 128GB ROM.

The device also features 5GB extra RAM support. It is running on the Android 11 operating system based on ColorOS 11.1 out of the box. For the cameras, it features a 64-megapixel main camera, 8-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 2-megapixel macro lens.

On the front, it has a 32-megapixel selfie shooter. The rear camera can record videos in 4K at 30fps and can also shoot 120fps slow-motion 1080p video. It has an under-display fingerprint scanner and face ID for security.

What is keeping the light on is a 4310mAh battery capacity that supports 30W VOOC 4.0 fast charging. Other features of the device include dual-SIM support, 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port. Dimensions-wise, the handset measures 160.20×73.38×7.97mm and weighs around 173 grams.

The Oppo Reno6 Z is succeeding the Reno5 Z which was unveiled this year in Singapore. The Reno6 Z is only better than the Reno5 Z in camera and storage configurations.
