Honor might be planning to launch the Play 5 midrange smartphone very soon. Although there is no official launch date of the smartphone yet. The Honor Play 5 renders has already hit the web yesterday and we have seen how the device will look, thanks to GSMArena who shared the render.
Today, a popular and reputable tipster on Weibo has revealed the complete specifications of the smartphone. GSMArena shared the renders of the phone yesterday (30, April 2021) without revealing the specifications but today, the tipster has made it public. Let’s take a look at the full specifications.
Honor Play 5 specifications and features
Honor Play 5 specifications were shared by a tipster dubbed Digital Chat Station on Weibo. The smartphone will come with a 6.53 inches OLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. It measures 7.46mm in thickness and weighs 179 grams.
Under the hood, there is a capable MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset. This is the same chipset that is powering the Oppo A94 5G and the Vivo V21 5G. It is expected to run on Android 11 out of the box with Magic UI skin on top.
As for the camera, we can see a rectangular module housing a quad camera. The front camera is domiciled in a water-drop notch cut-out. The main camera of the Honor Play 5 is 64-megapixel. Other sensors include an 8-megapixel secondary lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The front camera is under the wrap.
Honor Play 5 will be powered by a 3,800mAh battery that supports 66W rapid charging. The render shared by GSMArena shows that the edges of the phone appear flat. It features a SIM card slot on the left edge and a microphone on the top edge.
