The launch of the Asus Zenfone 8 series is fast approaching. The company announced that the series will break cover on May 12. As expected, more leaks and renders of the phones have started surfacing. Yesterday, we revealed that the Zenfone 8 Mini received the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification. The certification didn’t reveal much about the device but we only get to know the model number which is “ASUS_I006D”.
In the past, the Zenfone 8 Pro has also received the same India BIS certification. The only model that is yet to bag the certification is the standard Zenfone 8. Today, the specifications and renders of both the Zenfone 8 and the Zenfone 8 Flip have appeared. As you can tell from the name, the Zenfone 8 Flip will be coming with a flip camera mechanism.
This is the same feature that the Zenfone 7 Pro possess. 91mobiles revealed the renders of these two smartphones alongside their respective specifications. It is surprising to us to see the flip mechanism present in this year’s Zenfone 8. This is because we have heard in the past that the Zenfone 8 series won’t have a flip camera.
The renders of the standard Zenfone 8 on the other hand shows that it will have a punch-hole cutout located at the upper left corner of the display. The renders also hint at two colour options, silver and black. Let’s take a look at the specifications revealed.
